NYSE Pioneer Lauren Simmons Set To Host 'Going Public' Digital Series

Lauren Simmons continues to break down barriers and blaze trail en route to success. Simmons has announced that she will be hosting a new show called Going Public. The digital series will provide entrepreneurs the opportunity to meet with investors and become a publicly-traded company. Viewers will also have the opportunity to assist and help entrepreneurs get to the next level. While it is similar to Shark Tank in some aspects, it is different in that it will allow viewers to invest in the companies they see on the show.

“The moment I heard about this project, I knew I had to be a part of it,” Simmons said.

“America’s entrepreneurs are so much more than just the Silicon Valley tech guys who get most of the attention – and most of the investment. I can’t wait to share the untold stories of exciting and ambitious founders from across the country who, like me, are paving the way doing something completely out of the box.”

Simmons is not new to the world of stocks, investors and entrepreneurship. For years ago, she became the youngest Black woman to publicly trade stocks on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange. After making history, she left the NYSE to begin working as a media analyst and public speaker. Now, she'll bring the two worlds together with Going Public.

"[I'm] excited to go public about Going Public," Simmons added.

"I’m thrilled to share I’ll be hosting the inaugural season of going public a new interactive series that allows everyday Americans to invest in IPOs while they watch!"

The first season of Going Public will debut this spring. Stay tuned for more details.
